What you earn
- 30% commission on every sale of my digital products made through your link or coupon code.
- Commission is based on what the customer actually paid, after discounts, not counting taxes.
- Your own purchases through your own link don’t earn commission.
When you get paid
- Because every customer has 30 days to ask for a refund, commissions are paid monthly, 30 days after the end of the month the sale was made. For example, sales made in October are paid on December 1.
- Payments are sent by PayPal.
- If a customer is refunded, the commission on that order is removed automatically.
The rules (short, and they matter)
- Always disclose. Anywhere you share your link, say clearly that it’s an affiliate link and that you earn a commission. For example: “This is an affiliate link. If you buy through it, I earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”
- Only say what’s true. Describe the products accurately. Don’t promise results or invent discounts or deadlines that don’t exist.
- No scare tactics. My whole approach is helping people without frightening them into buying. No fake virus warnings, no “your PC is infected” language.
- No spam. No unsolicited email, comment spam, or posting your link where it isn’t welcome.
- No bidding on my brand name (“Grumpy Sysadmin” or my product names) in paid search ads.
- Don’t impersonate me or suggest you speak for The Grumpy Sysadmin.
I approve every affiliate personally, and I can remove anyone who breaks these rules. Commissions on sales from rule-breaking promotion won’t be paid. I may change rates or terms with advance notice, but changes never apply to sales you’ve already made.
